Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Translate theoretical models into practical implementations using Qiskit and Cirq
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Experience leading quantum computing research teams
