Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects to develop fault-tolerant quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum processors with classical computing systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH, NSF, and private sector partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our 2026 Fellowship Program
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen blockchain and AI systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in Nature or Science journals in quantum algorithms or hardware
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and error correction techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing competitive research grants and patents
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and quantum neural network architectures
- Ability to lead international research teams across 3+ time zones
