Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and qubit stabilization techniques
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit coherence
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Track record of securing government or corporate quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era limitations
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers in quantum computing
