Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent serves as the primary point of contact for guests during their stay. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying identification and payment methods.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Manage room reservations and update the property management system (PMS) accurately.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
- Monitor building security, ensuring guest safety and adhering to all hotel policies.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with strict accuracy.
- Assist with concierge services and provide local recommendations to visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a front desk, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light furniture (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
