Responsibilities
- Oversee all culinary operations, including menu creation, cost control, and inventory management.
- Lead, train, and mentor a diverse team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to maintain high performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP compliance).
- Develop innovative seasonal menus that highlight local Michigan ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Manage budgets and financial reporting to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales and events team to cater to private functions and corporate events.
- Conduct regular quality checks on all dishes before service.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a large kitchen team.
- Deep knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.
- Proven track record of managing food costs and labor efficiency.

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
