Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure adherence to strict cleanliness and aesthetic standards.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, linens, and amenities to optimize costs and prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest complaints regarding cleanliness, promptly resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain the hotel's reputation for excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
