Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Manage, train, and motivate a diverse team of housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
- Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained without waste.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints regarding room quality or housekeeping services with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including COVID-19 protocols.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and liaise with the engineering department to resolve facility issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory housekeeping role within a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) such as Opera or similar software.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED; a degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
