Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service during check-in/check-out processes, including room assignments, key issuance, and billing inquiries
- Manage multi-line phone systems, handle reservations, and maintain accurate guest records
- Process payments, manage cash floats, and reconcile daily transactions
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge teams to ensure flawless guest experiences
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly using problem-solving skills
- Operate property management systems (Opera, Fidelio) with proficiency
- Execute shift handovers and maintain comprehensive communication logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid New York State driver's license (if required for errands)
- Basic knowledge of NYC tourism attractions and transportation systems
