Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests upon arrival, handling check-ins and check-outs with efficiency and grace.
- Guest Relations: Build lasting relationships with guests by anticipating their needs, answering inquiries, and providing accurate information about local attractions and hotel services.
- Reservation Management: Assist with room reservations, manage room availability, and process changes or cancellations via phone and online systems.
- Front Office Operations: Maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS), process payments, and balance accounts at the end of each shift.
- Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints or special requests with a focus on problem-solving and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Visual Standards: Maintain the lobby and front desk areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel front desk or guest services role is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; hospitality or business coursework is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Front Desk Pro, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Appearance: Professional appearance and grooming standards are mandatory.
- Language: Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are highly desirable.
