In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience while maintaining the luxurious standards of the Fairmont brand.
Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor, answering inquiries regarding hotel services, local attractions, and dining options.
- Check-In/Out: Efficiently process reservations, verify guest information, handle payments, and issue room keys using the Property Management System (PMS).
- Lobby Management: Monitor the lobby area to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment at all times.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
- Communication: Relay accurate information to housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to coordinate guest needs effectively.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, daily reports, and cash handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a front desk or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Micros) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual skills are highly preferred.
- Interpersonal: Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business volume.
