Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: Provide a warm, personalized welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
- Guest Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for guests, answering inquiries, providing directions, and resolving any issues or complaints with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Operations: Manage hotel reservations, room assignments, and key card distribution efficiently using our Property Management System (PMS).
- Communication: Answer multi-line telephones professionally, take accurate messages, and relay information promptly to relevant departments.
- Financial Accuracy: Handle cash transactions, credit card processing, and petty cash balancing with strict adherence to company policies and audit trails.
- Housekeeping Liaison: Communicate maintenance needs and room status updates to the housekeeping and engineering teams to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.
- Event Support: Assist with registration and coordination for hotel events and conferences as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in front desk operations or hospitality guest services.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college or hospitality certification preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Opera, GuestCentric, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and polite demeanor.
- Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with grace and efficiency.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform light cleaning duties.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
