Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying identification and payment methods while maintaining a welcoming demeanor.
- Answer incoming calls and emails promptly, responding to inquiries regarding reservations, amenities, and local area directions.
- Manage the front desk operations, including handling mail, packages, and guest messages with discretion and care.
- Process daily financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing the till at the end of each shift.
- Assist guests with special requests, from restaurant reservations to transportation arrangements, ensuring a seamless stay.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby, ensuring a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff of all backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, specifically Property Management Systems (PMS), is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally (e.g., moving luggage or supplies).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- A professional appearance and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
