Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of our hotel and the city of New Orleans.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Process guest registrations, payments, and key assignments efficiently using the property management system (PMS).
- Communication: Handle incoming phone calls and emails professionally, answering inquiries about local attractions, dining, and hotel amenities.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, handle petty cash, and assist with lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Problem Solving: Address guest concerns or complaints with a solution-oriented attitude and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and that the lobby is inviting.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous front desk or customer service experience is a plus, but not required for this position.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Professionalism: High standards of personal grooming and professional appearance.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills (French/Spanish) are highly valued in New Orleans.
