Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently, ensuring all necessary paperwork and deposits are processed accurately.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to emails promptly, providing information about our hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with patience and professionalism, escalating complex issues to the manager when necessary.
- Process payments and reconcile daily financial transactions using the hotel Property Management System (PMS).
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, lobby, and reception space to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist with coordinating housekeeping requests and special guest amenities to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Stay updated on local events, weather conditions, and travel information to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; prior experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, Micros) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- A professional appearance and a positive, energetic attitude are essential.
