Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: warmly welcome patients and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of Apex Medical Center.
- Check-In/Out: efficiently manage patient check-in processes, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays accurately.
- Phone Operations: answer and route incoming calls professionally, handling inquiries and taking accurate messages.
- Front Desk Management: maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Security Access: issue and manage visitor badges and secure key cards for staff and authorized personnel.
- Multi-Tasking: handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as assisting walk-in patients while managing the front desk queue.
- Data Entry: accurately update patient records and registration information into the hospital management system.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in a medical or hospitality setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be proficient in using computer software and medical reception systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
