Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-ins/checkouts using PMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Handle reservation inquiries and modify bookings via phone/email/in-person
- Resolve guest complaints promptly with solution-oriented approaches
- Process payments and maintain secure cash handling procedures
- Coordinate with housekeeping/food service departments for seamless operations
- Execute emergency response protocols during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed shift logs and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years hotel front desk experience required
- Proficiency in Opera or similar property management systems
- Valid Virginia hospitality certification preferred
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Basic accounting knowledge and cash handling experience
- Multi-language skills (Spanish/Portuguese) highly valued
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
