Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal paradigms affecting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop quantitative and qualitative future-state scenarios across verticals including AI, biotech, climate tech, and decentralized systems
- Design strategic innovation roadmaps with measurable KPIs for R&D investment and market positioning
- Facilitate executive workshops on future implications, translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on long-term transformation
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles into development lifecycles
- Establish cross-functional futures councils to embed foresight across organizational DNA
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research with Fortune 500 impact
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, systems thinking, and trend extrapolation methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI trajectories)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with executive presentation experience at global forums
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented strategic futures initiatives
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFCS, preferred)
- Experience advising C-suite on transformative market shifts and disruption preparedness
