Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and paradigm shifts impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop robust scenario-planning frameworks for climate resilience, quantum computing adoption, and geopolitical volatility
- Lead cross-functional foresight workshops with engineering, product, and strategy teams
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with data-driven forecasts and strategic recommendations
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurist networks, academic institutions, and industry think tanks
- Integrate foresight insights into product roadmaps and investment priorities
- Champion innovation culture through internal 'Future Labs' and trend-spotting initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Planning, or related field; PhD preferred
- 7+ years in foresight, strategy consulting, or innovation leadership with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight publications
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic initiatives implemented based on future forecasting
