Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring seamless execution.
- Financial Management: Manage the hotel's budget, P&L statements, and revenue strategies to maximize profitability and control costs effectively.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse staff to foster a positive, high-performance work culture focused on professional growth.
- Guest Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP guests and corporate partners, personally addressing inquiries to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing initiatives and operational improvements to enhance the hotel's market position in Detroit.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards, including local laws and corporate policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a luxury or upscale hotel setting, with at least 2 years as a General Manager.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of hotel operations systems (PMS) and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on high-touch customer service.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
