The Grand Chicago Hotel is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our elite hospitality team.
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and are dedicated to providing an exceptional stay for our guests. As part of our housekeeping staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine standards that define our hotel.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas thoroughly and efficiently.
- Make beds, change linens, and ensure all amenities are stocked and arranged to hotel standards.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish surfaces to a mirror finish.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing amenities to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, as well as hotel policies regarding cleanliness.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.
- Organize closets and storage areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
