Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-day financial reconciliation including processing payments, balancing cash drawers, and generating daily reports
- Handle guest check-ins/check-outs with efficiency and warmth during overnight hours
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction
- Monitor hotel security systems and respond to emergency protocols
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for overnight operations
- Update reservation systems and manage room status changes
- Prepare accurate shift reports for management handover
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in hotel front desk or night audit role
- Proficiency with property management systems (Opera, etc.)
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to financial details
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Michigan driver's license (for property errands)
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Detroit area attractions preferred
