Responsibilities
- Execute smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures for all guests, verifying payment and collecting necessary identification.
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls and emails with a polite, professional, and courteous tone.
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and property.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints immediately and escalate complex issues to the Night Manager or On-Call Manager.
- Process payments, manage room keys, and ensure the front desk area is organized and tidy.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to resolve any guest room issues promptly.
- Provide local recommendations and assist with any special guest needs during the night hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel front desk, reception, or customer service role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to converse fluently in English.
- Proficient in using hotel property management systems (PMS) and general computer applications.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and make sound decisions during night shifts.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
