The Role:
As the Night Shift Manager, you are the face of our hotel during the evening and night. You will manage front desk operations, security protocols, and guest satisfaction to ensure a seamless experience for travelers enjoying the local nightlife.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Night Operations: Manage all front desk activities, including check-ins, check-outs, and concierge services from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Guest Relations: Resolve guest complaints and inquiries immediately to ensure 100% guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Security & Safety: Monitor building security systems, conduct nightly patrols, and enforce safety protocols to protect guests and property.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor the night shift team (receptionists, housekeeping leads), ensuring all staff adhere to hotel standards.
- Financial Oversight: Process daily financial transactions, manage cash drawers, and reconcile reports at the end of the shift.
- Facility Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any immediate issues affecting guest comfort or security.
- Brand Representation: Uphold the hotel’s brand standards and promote the unique culture of New Orleans to every visitor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, welcoming demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure during critical situations.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive guest information with discretion.
- Local Knowledge: Knowledge of New Orleans, LA, and its attractions is a major plus.
