Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains
- Design and facilitate strategic foresight workshops for executive stakeholders
- Develop quantitative models predicting market shifts for 2026-2030
- Lead development of innovation pipelines with $50M+ annual budget
- Represent company at global futurist forums and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities across departments
- Author annual 'Future State' report for board of directors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA with innovation focus
- Published research on technology disruption (peer-reviewed journals or top-tier media)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through digital transformation
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their business applications
- Exceptional storytelling and executive presentation skills
- Track record of influencing C-suite decisions with future-oriented strategies
