Responsibilities
- Assist in daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance coordination
- Train and supervise 10+ team members to ensure exceptional service standards
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism
- Monitor inventory and budget compliance for departmental areas
- Collaborate with sales team on event planning and group bookings
- Implement health/safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Business Management (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years hotel or customer service experience preferred
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in hotel management software (Opera, etc.)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of local Detroit tourism landscape
