Responsibilities
- Efficiently transport guest luggage and belongings to rooms using luggage carts
- Provide warm, personalized greetings and assistance to all arriving guests
- Coordinate with valet and front desk teams for seamless guest transitions
- Assist with special requests including transportation arrangements and local recommendations
- Maintain pristine cleanliness of lobby entrances, porte-cochere, and luggage storage areas
- Safely handle high-value items and oversized luggage with proper lifting techniques
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Outstanding communication skills and professional appearance
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (for valet assistance)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a service-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Detroit landmarks and attractions
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
