Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all daily housekeeping operations, including public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations (OSHA, local codes).
- Develop and monitor staff schedules to optimize productivity and coverage.
- Conduct regular quality assurance inspections to maintain luxury standards.
- Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff to enhance performance and morale.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens to minimize waste and control costs.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness and amenities immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hotel Management is a plus.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper usage protocols.
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera or Micros.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
