Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, check them in efficiently, and provide a detailed orientation of the hotel facilities and local area recommendations.
- Operations: Manage the front desk operations, including processing payments, handling reservations, and answering multi-line telephone systems with professionalism.
- Communication: Relay guest messages, requests, and inquiries to appropriate departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Security & Safety: Monitor the lobby area for safety and security, ensuring doors are locked and unauthorized persons are not admitted.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate guest records in the property management system (PMS) and perform daily filing and cash reconciliation.
- Problem Solving: Handle guest complaints or special requests with empathy and efficiency, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in hospitality or business is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a front desk or guest services role preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software (e.g., Opera, StayNTouch).
- Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Language: Bilingual skills (Spanish) are highly desirable.
