As the first point of contact for our guests, you will ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience while representing the pinnacle of Chicago service standards.
Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently using our Property Management System (PMS).
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Handle guest complaints and requests with patience, empathy, and a focus on problem-solving.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming lobby area, ensuring all common spaces are organized.
- Process payments and manage hotel folios accurately.
- Assist with concierge services, including local recommendations and reservations.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent or Receptionist preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel PMS software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
