Responsibilities
- Manage seamless guest check-in/check-out processes using property management systems
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly with empathy and solution-oriented thinking
- Process payments, manage reservations, and maintain accurate guest records
- Coordinate with housekeeping, valet, and other departments to ensure exceptional service
- Upsell hotel amenities, dining options, and local attractions to enhance guest experiences
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Participate in daily briefings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hotel front desk or customer service experience
- Proficiency with property management systems (Opera, Fidelio, etc.)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Portland attractions and transportation
- Valid Oregon driver's license (if providing valet services)
