Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage guest check-in/check-out procedures using PMS systems
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and valet departments to ensure seamless service
- Resolve guest complaints and special requests with empathy and urgency
- Upsell hotel amenities, room upgrades, and local attractions
- Maintain lobby cleanliness and professional appearance
- Respond to emergency situations following hotel protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hotel front desk or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Opera, Delphi, or similar property management systems
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- Basic knowledge of Chicago tourism and local attractions
