Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service through check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, and personalized recommendations
- Manage reservations, handle billing inquiries, and resolve guest concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate guest records and ensure data compliance with hotel standards
- Collaborate with housekeeping, concierge, and security teams for seamless operations
- Process payments, manage cash floats, and reconcile daily transactions
- Utilize property management systems (PMS) efficiently to optimize occupancy
- Uphold brand standards through consistent service delivery and appearance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hospitality or customer service experience
- Proficiency with PMS systems (Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid California driver's license (for local errands)
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- Basic knowledge of Oakland attractions and transportation options
- High school diploma or equivalent required
