Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, ensuring a memorable first and last impression of their stay in New Orleans.
- Check-In/Out: Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, verifying identities, collecting payments, and issuing room keys using the Property Management System (PMS).
- Concierge Services: Provide accurate information regarding local attractions, dining, transportation, and events to enhance the guest experience.
- Communication: Answer incoming calls promptly, respond to guest inquiries via email or in-person, and relay messages accurately to the appropriate departments.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain a tidy front desk area, process incoming mail and packages, and handle cash transactions with strict accuracy.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or issues immediately and professionally, escalating complex matters to the Shift Manager when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable learning and using hotel software and computer systems quickly.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the hotel's uniform and grooming standards.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
