Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently, ensuring all registration procedures are followed accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with a focus on speed, accuracy, and hospitality.
- Process payments and verify charges using the hotel property management system (PMS).
- Manage the concierge desk, providing local recommendations and arranging transportation or reservations.
- Maintain a pristine lobby and public areas, ensuring the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues professionally, escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
- Assist in other hotel duties as needed, including mail services and safety checks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact warmly with a diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in computer systems, specifically hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, GuestCentric).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction.
- Must be professional, organized, and detail-oriented.
