Responsibilities
- Oversee front desk operations during assigned shifts (evening/overnight)
- Train and mentor front desk staff on service protocols
- Resolve guest complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Manage check-in/check-out processes using Opera PMS
- Coordinate with housekeeping and security teams
- Handle emergency procedures and crisis management
- Monitor room availability and revenue optimization
- Submit shift reports and performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years hotel front desk experience required
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (Opera PMS)
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong knowledge of San Jose area attractions
- Basic accounting and cash handling skills
- Fluency in English; Spanish a plus
