Responsibilities
- Efficiently check guests in and out, verifying registration forms and payment methods with accuracy and speed.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and manage guest inquiries regarding reservations, amenities, and local recommendations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally, escalating complex issues to the management team immediately.
- Process daily financial transactions, including cash, credit cards, and checks, ensuring all records are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Assist in the check-out process, including printing folios, processing charges, and confirming departure details.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready for arrival.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; hospitality or customer service certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent or in a similar customer service role within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished and professional telephone manner.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure during peak check-in/check-out times.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift light objects when assisting with luggage.
