  • Check-In/Check-Out: Manage the registration process accurately, including verifying identity, collecting payments, and issuing room keys using Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Communication: Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, routing calls to the appropriate department or taking detailed messages.
  • Front Office Operations: Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area, ensuring all lobby amenities are stocked and presentable at all times.
  • Cash & Security: Handle cash transactions with strict accuracy and adhere to all hotel security protocols, including key control and access card management.
  • Upselling & Sales: Promote hotel amenities, dining options, and local attractions to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address guest complaints or special requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Hospitality or Business is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel front office, concierge, or customer service role preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, StayNTouch) is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and welcoming telephone manner.
  • Availability: Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light objects, and navigate the hotel property safely.
