Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: Provide a warm, welcoming smile and efficient check-in/check-out service to all guests, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
- Guest Relations: Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Operations Management: Manage the front desk operations, including handling reservations, managing phone lines, and maintaining accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS).
- Security & Safety: Monitor access to the hotel, verify identification for guest safety, and adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Housekeeping Liaison: Communicate maintenance requests and room status updates to the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
- Revenue Management: Upsell room rates and additional amenities (such as breakfast or parking) to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform cashier duties, including processing payments and preparing accurate end-of-shift reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior hospitality experience is necessary; we value attitude and aptitude over tenure.
- Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Attitude: A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help others.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly (training provided).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate amounts of luggage (up to 25 lbs).
- Availability: Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
