Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, managing check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Handle incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or providing direct assistance.
- Process payments accurately and resolve any billing discrepancies or guest complaints promptly to ensure high guest satisfaction scores.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, ensuring all lobby amenities are fully stocked and presentable at all times.
- Assist with concierge services, including restaurant reservations, local transportation arrangements, and providing information about NYC attractions.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and address any maintenance requests immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; previous experience in hotel front desk operations is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and hotel reservation software (e.g., Opera, Micros).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a valid driver's license preferred.
