Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying identification and payment methods while maintaining a welcoming demeanor.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, addressing guest inquiries, making reservations, and providing accurate information about local attractions and hotel amenities.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with patience and professionalism, escalating complex issues to the Night Manager when necessary.
- Monitor the security and safety of the hotel premises, including key control and access to guest rooms.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, lobby, and common spaces to ensure a high standard of presentation.
- Process credit card transactions and manage cash drawers with strict accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with lobby concierge services, including greeting late arrivals and assisting with luggage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; previous hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Proficiency with computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems or property management software (PMS).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (e.g., lifting luggage).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
