Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage guest check-in/check-out processes using Opera property management system
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate billing records
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints with empathy and solution-oriented approaches
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and valet services for guest requests
- Upsell hotel amenities and special packages to enhance guest experience
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and lobby appearance
- Assist in emergency procedures and safety protocol adherence
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hospitality or customer service experience
- Proficiency with property management systems (Opera preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Basic knowledge of Chicago attractions and transportation
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) and holidays
- Valid Illinois driver's license (for valet coordination)
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification a plus
