Responsibilities
- Process guest check-ins/checkouts efficiently with attention to detail
- Manage reservations and room assignments using Opera/PMS systems
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments
- Ensure front desk area remains organized and welcoming
- Execute upselling strategies to enhance guest experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred
- 1+ years front desk or customer service experience
- Proficiency with property management software (Opera, Fidelio)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Basic knowledge of Chicago tourism and attractions
