Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes and accurate reservation management.
- Supervise front desk staff, providing training, mentoring, and scheduling to ensure high performance and guest satisfaction.
- Handle high-level guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, resolving issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation.
- Manage cash handling, billing, and credit card transactions with strict adherence to financial policies and security protocols.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant departments to coordinate guest services and address room-related needs.
- Monitor and maintain the lobby area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors.
- Stay updated on local attractions, events, and amenities to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel front desk operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel PMS (Property Management Systems) such as Opera, Micros, or equivalent software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
