Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they step into the lobby.
- Check-In/Out: Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, verifying guest information and processing payments accurately using hotel software.
- Concierge Services: Provide local recommendations, arrange transportation, and answer inquiries regarding hotel amenities and the surrounding Jacksonville area.
- Communication: Answer multi-line phone systems with a polite and helpful tone, taking accurate messages and transferring calls to the appropriate departments.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex matters to management while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Front Desk Maintenance: Keep the front desk area tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Shift Handover: Complete detailed shift logs and handovers to ensure continuity of service during staff changes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education in hospitality is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are looking for candidates willing to learn and grow.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Attitude: A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help others.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers and point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects (up to 25 lbs).
