Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of service.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage the hotel budget, including revenue management and cost control.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of local Oakland area and tourism trends is a plus.
