Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance teams
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to maximize occupancy and profitability
- Manage departmental budgets, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives
- Lead staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation programs
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices
- Resolve complex guest issues with professionalism and discretion
- Collaborate with sales team to develop corporate and group partnerships
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform pricing strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years progressive hotel management experience in luxury or boutique properties
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and guest satisfaction metrics
- Strong financial acumen with P&L management expertise
- Exceptional leadership skills with ability to motivate diverse teams
- Deep knowledge of Portland's hospitality market and tourism landscape
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (Opera, Delphi) and Microsoft Office
- Valid Oregon hospitality certification or equivalent industry credentials
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
