Job Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for performing front desk duties during the overnight shift while conducting nightly audits of the hotel's financial operations. This role is critical to maintaining the seamless check-in and check-out process for our guests around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Guest Services: Manage check-ins and check-outs for late-arriving guests with a focus on speed and courtesy.
- Financial Auditing: Perform nightly audits of the PMS system, balancing daily revenue, folios, and credit card transactions.
- Phone Operations: Answer a high volume of phone inquiries, assist with wake-up calls, and direct internal extensions.
- Security & Safety: Monitor hotel premises, ensure fire doors are secured, and respond to any guest incidents or emergencies.
- Report Generation: Complete and distribute the Night Audit report and operational logs to the Front Office Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel front desk, guest services, or hospitality environment preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Math Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong mathematical aptitude for financial reconciliation.
