Responsibilities

  • Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying reservation details and processing payments accurately.
  • Perform the nightly Night Audit, including reconciling daily financial transactions and balancing the hotel’s PMS (Property Management System).
  • Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies for the next shift.
  • Monitor building security and safety protocols, including key card access and fire safety checks.
  • Collaborate with day staff to ensure a smooth handover of operations and guest information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and hotel PMS software (e.g., Opera, Micros).
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on problem-solving and customer service.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate amounts of weight (up to 25 lbs).
