What You'll Do
Our night shift is about efficiency and quality. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of UrbanStay Chicago, ensuring every corner is pristine before our guests wake up.
Responsibilities
- Room Preparation: Thoroughly clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Bedding & Linens: Change bed linens, make beds to hotel standards, and restock amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.) in guest rooms.
- Restocking: Monitor and restock housekeeping carts and supply closets to ensure efficient operations throughout the night shift.
- Safety & Security: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and securing guest rooms when vacated.
- Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages to the management team immediately.
- Sanitation: Maintain high standards of hygiene in all areas to prevent the spread of germs and ensure guest health and safety.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required; training provided.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work nights (typically 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills; ability to follow instructions clearly.
