Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Manage check-ins, check-outs, and luggage assistance with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Guest Relations: Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide recommendations for local dining and attractions in Oakland.
- Night Audit: Perform nightly financial reconciliations and security rounds to ensure property safety and compliance.
- Reservations: Assist with managing room inventory and processing reservation changes via phone and email.
- Housekeeping Coordination: Communicate efficiently with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
- Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the engineering department immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or hotel operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency with PMS (Property Management Systems) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Professionalism: A neat appearance and a friendly, positive attitude are essential.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
